
To fully implement the national 14th Five-Year Plan for Circular Economy Development, actively advance the "Dual Carbon" strategic goals, and align China’s second-hand goods standard system with international standards, the standardization conference themed "Standardization Empowers the Second-hand Economy, Building a Sustainable Consumption Future" was held in Chengdu on August 13, 2025.The conference was hosted by ISO/PC245 and organized by the China Quality Certification Center.

Distinguished guests attended and addressed the conference, including Mr. Zhang Zhigang, former Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Director of the Economic Committee of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Wan Xinming, Chairman of ISO/PC245 and Vice General Manager of China Certification & Inspection Group, Mr. Chen Weiliang, Director of ISO Liaison Office, Department of Standard Innovation Management, State Administration for Market Regulation, Ms. Eunsook Moon, Chairman of ISO/COPOLCO, Mr. Chang Dalei, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Second-hand Goods Association and Chairman of SAC/TC440, Mr. Zhu Liyang, President of China Circular Economy Association, Ms. Duan Xiaohong, Secretary-General of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, and Mr. Xu Shaoshan, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of China Quality Certification Center.

At the conference, Chairman Wan Xinming issued appointment letters to the first batch of expert representatives of the National Technical Working Group of ISO/PC245.Ms. Zhang Huiqi, Deputy Director of the Technical Service Department and Manager of Hong Kong Branch of Mystuff Group, attended the conference and received the appointment letter.
The establishment of the National Technical Working Group of ISO/PC245 marks an important step for China in the standardization of cross-border trade of second-hand goods.The working group will systematically promote the localized application of international standards, help Chinese enterprises participate more deeply in the formulation of international rules, and enhance their voice in global trade.As a member of the working group, Ms. Zhang Huiqi will leverage Mystuff Group’s practical experience in second-hand goods testing, identification, classification and cross-border circulation, and collaborate with all parties to accelerate the development of a scientific, standardized and transparent standard system.This will effectively promote the sound and orderly development of the second-hand economy and inject standard-driven impetus into efficient resource utilization and low-carbon consumption transformation.
