
The 5th Plenary Session of ISO/TC309 was held in New Delhi, India from November 3 to 9, 2019.More than 70 experts from the UK, the US, China, France, Australia, Argentina, Germany, Trinidad and Tobago, Sweden, Malaysia, Jamaica, Nigeria, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Egypt, Canada, Indonesia, Japan and other countries attended the meeting.The plenary session was hosted by the Bureau of Indian Standards.A nine-member Chinese delegation participated in the meeting, consisting of Zhang Hongfei from the Department of Standard Technology Administration, State Administration for Market Regulation; Wang Yiyi, Wu Xuejing, Du Xiaoyan and Li Yun from China National Institute of Standardization; Yan Cheng from Shenzhen Institute of Standardization and Technology; Chen Litong from Dentons Law Firm; Liu Ting from King & Wood Mallesons; and Zheng Bo from Mystuff Standardization Firm.

At the session, as China’s representative to WG1 Organization Governance, Zheng Bo took part in the review work on the CD1 draft of ISO 37000 Guidance for the governance of organizations, and a large number of his technical suggestions were adopted.
The WG1 meeting preliminarily addressed 856 comments on the CD1 draft, some of which required further follow-up.The meeting agreed to apply to ISO for a one-year extension, resolve issues via online meetings, complete the CD2 draft by March 2020, and then enter an 8-week voting phase.It is reported that the WG1 meeting of ISO/TC309 will be held in Trinidad and Tobago on July 20, 2020 to review the CD2 draft of the standard.The DIS draft of the standard is expected to be completed in October 2020 and officially published in 2021.
During the meeting, Mr. Zheng Bo also attended the WG2 (Anti-bribery Management System) meeting.The WG2 meeting approved the ISO 37001 Handbook and discussed the revision of ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery management systems.
